About the only bad thing about this movie is the title, 'Alien Raiders' sounds so GENERIC! Sounds like something from that ripoff studio 'The Asylum' or a Public Domain Dollar Store movie, but this is from Raw Feed studios, the guys that brought interesting straight-to-DVD horror fair like Rest Stop, Believers & Otis! Best I can describe this movie is John Carpenter's 'The Thing', Frank Darabont's 'The Mist' with a speck of 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers' thrown in a blender and out comes...Alien Raiders?!? This flick will keep you guessing who's "infected" throughout. High recommend!

Wow!! This is it, this is the shit!! I'd heard some buzz about ALIEN RAIDERS, but I took it with a grain of salt. But ladies and gentlemen, this is the best scifi/horror hybrid I've seen in many, many a moon!! Carlos Bernard (24)is the only star that I recognized and he is awesome! The story is this, a supermarket is taken hostage. Only they don't want money. Something is lurking in the store. Something evil. Something hungry.
I know I sound like a little kid gushing about ALIEN RAIDERS, but that's just how good it is. So what are you waiting for!! Run out and see ALIEN RAIDERS!! This baby rocks!!

Terrible Title, Great Movie

"Moderately scaled indie film, but really quite excellent. Just pretend the title doesn't exist. Tape over it with your own, more clever title. But it's a very tight script; the "robbers" from the beginning have a sordid history that unviels throughout the film, but you're only told what you need to know to enjoy the movie and wonder about these people. The action is tastefully full of gore, but rarely does the movie hold too long on the squishiness. And there's no UFO, ignore the cover, but there are aliens.
Anyway, it's a solid 85 minute romp, and I'm really glad I saw it. It plays on some cliches, flips over others. Tis a good time.

"Wow! Finally! I have found a new sci-fi/horror that isn't lousy. And let me tell you, with all the junk coming out lately, it wasn't easy. I took a chance on this one and was rewarded with a film that manages to combine just about everything in the genre and explain it all at the same time. The film is fast paced, the special effects are good and you don't have someone telling you what has happened. You pick it up in bits and pieces and put them together. A bunch of robbers hit a supermarket and start picking off customers by having one of the robbers touch them. They happen to come in just as the detective of the local police department is leaving. The robbers don't want money and turn out not to be robbers after all. They are a group of self-made commandos looking for someone (or thing) in particular. That's it. I can't go any further without spoiling the film. It's an Independent Film with a good cast and comes at a great price. Get it - You'll enjoy it."

"Don't be put off by the terrible title and stupid DVD cover, "Alien Raiders" is a taut well-done thriller, but the less you know about it the better, so your best bet is to not read anything else on this page and just watch it."
First "Must See" flick of 09.

"Caught an early screening of this flick last month, and in my opinion, this is the first "Must See" flick of 2009.
It's been unfairly labeled as a "B" movie, simply because it IS and independent feature. I guarantee you that this is an A+ effort all around, the atmosphere, script, story, acting, score, visual FX, and direction are all top notch here.
It has the same gritty claustrophobic feel as 08's "Splinter"
Dont let this indie gem slip by, i'd recommend going out of your way to see this one.

"Despite a few minor missteps here and there, though not many, Raw Feed still continues to be one of the best producers of thrilling and intelligent genre fare being released, Alien Raiders (previously Supermarket) is no exception. This enjoyable sci-fi thriller shares a few small similarities to Carpenter's The Thing and Ridley Scott's Alien including actual physical FX, which is always a plus for me. Nothing says super-cool like real monsters.
The acting was above average with the best performance being handed in by Carlos Bernard ("24") as Ritter, he's a solid actor and his character came across strong and fearless, traits a team of rogue scientists hunting gross parasitic aliens can appreciate.
Considering this is Raw Feed's first "sci-fi" outing, I'd have to say it's a respectable entry and an impressive little low budget film. Sure there were a few clichés here and there and the final showdown was about as obvious as the nose on my face but entertainment is entertainment and the guys behind RF deliver just that.
There's nothing like a good sci-fi film to get the blood pumping and the old noodle working! Granted this wasn't all that "deep" so it's not going to take a degree to figure it all out but the bottom line is Alien Raiders was fun stuff. It had my on the edge of my seat, eagerly awaiting the next battle. If you're into low budget sci-fi that doesn't rely on cheese and fishing wire UFOs, you could do worse. Ignore the goofy title and give it a shot!"
