This is a story of two spies, who are lifelong adversaries, engaged in a cat-and-mouse hunt. Jonathan Ecks (Banderas) is an FBI agent hunting the other, Sever (Liu) a rogue NSA agent. What they learn, however, while trying... more » to kill each other... is that they might be on the same side, and faced with a threat greater to each other than themselves.« less

Good graphics and effects. I like Lucy and I think she is always a great actress. She makes this movie interesting.

Well, to each his own I say. I really liked this movie. It has a lot of action in it and I like the story line too. Made in 2002? they meaning Lucy Liu and Antonio Banderas both still look good. Of course him having a shot gun fighting off all those bad guys don't make much sense, but who's counting. the good wins out in the end. Right!!

I saw this movie several years ago, and I completely agree with Claudia. The best part about this movie was Lucy Liu kicking tail and taking names. Antonio spent much of the time looking confused and brooding. They are both probably very sorry they did this movie.

Don't let the big names fool you. This is one silly little movie, low budget, little plot, a good way to kill time if you have nothing better to do. It's also great if you want to check out Lucy Liu and her martial arts skills, but her Matrix-esque getup and perfect hair and makeup after doing away with dozens of good/bad guys (not sure which) strains credibility. At least she didn't wear high heels - other women buy shoes, she buys guns.

Don't waste your time.
Motorcycles? Check. Car chases? Check.
Guns? Check! Explosions? Check!!! (and some hand to hand fights)
Liu? Check that! Banderas? looking old, but still Check.
and a nano-tech McGuffin!
Plot? um not so much ... mostly stuff blows up
(anything else is an excuse for blowing stuff up)
Good guys vs bad guys, but who is who? Who cares? The director didn't seem to, so why should we?
Acting? Barely.
Really. Don't waste your time.

I hope Banderas and Liu regret this dreck, because I regret

"If you can get past the fact that there are two relatively big names (i.e. Antonio Banderas and Lucy Liu), and ignore the plethora of guns and explosions, what you really get is an incredibly weak plot with more contrived scenes than I could count. It's essentially a movie as ridiculous as its title - which just happens to be the reason why I avoided this garbage for nearly a decade.
Ecks (Banderas) is a semi-retired FBI agent picked up by some kind of shadow government that also happens to be DIA, linked to Canadian officials, sort of, who kidnap female Chinese orphans - insert Lucy Liu - to create special agent assassins, or something. Thrown into the mix is a woman married to two men, a child being held for personal ransom, and some imaginary top secret, microscopic computer hardware that can induce heart attacks or embolisms. When there is no empathy for a woman whose child has been abducted, you know the movie is complete chaos. Speaking of that...
The director of this trainwreck is named Kaos, a pseudonym presumably used because he feels guilty that the plot and direction of this film resembles the consistency of diarrhea. This movie is laughably bad. Way too little back story, far too few details for character development, there simply isn't anything developed. And when explanations are given, they are delivered through slow-mo camera shots and three word sentences.
Aside from a couple explosions - which are completely contrived and unconvincing - there is nearly nothing redeemable about this movie. Even the soundtrack is an irritating distraction. Watch it if you feel like quoting the lines before the characters, predicting the outcome thirty minutes early, and yawning during the "climactic" final showdown.
