This script seems a clumsy attempt to address insider info on aliens. Viewers will recognize Ben Browder of Farscape fame. And, of course, Lance Henriksen. The DVD playing was straightforward. The Blu-ray, however, was varied, depending which player I put it in. May just be a difference in firmware versions?
You can find several whistleblower testimonies from folks who worked in Area 51 nowadays. They are usually towards the end of their lives, or have passed the information onto others, who are asked to release their eyewitness testimonies a year or two after death, after their NDA's have expired (literally).
The EB (Extraterrestrial Beings) are not referred to as EB's in Area 51. They are referred to as IB's. Interdimensional Beings. The few captured samples of these beings have to be held in place with electromagnetic fields. The beings can only maintain corporeality for about 20 minutes at a time, to communicate. This is what I've gathered from years of poking around on the internets, with a grain of salt, as always. The assessments have been consistent. This movie gives a fitting, and at times, deadly, translation of how various people would interpret a 'Being' of this description. I got the idea, this movie may have been based on a real life story.

Giving one star is being generous. What a mess of a plot: sci-fi mixed with religious fanaticism.
