Member Movie Reviews Jefferson N. from BLAIRSVILLE, GA Reviewed on 6/8/2011... The Bodyguard is an early Sonny Chiba movie, and he still has a lot of charisma in this one! Sonny plays a professional bodyguard who must protect a young woman from thugs bent on killing her. There's not really anything special about the plot, but the movie has some great fight sequences, and gore, like in the original Street Fighter film. If you're a fan of martial arts or Quentin Tarantion, check this one out. Quentin was probably influenced as much or more by this one than the Street Fighter series.
