"I really love this show, it is one of my favorite Police Drama Shows.
Fisrt telecasted on September 15th, 1977 until July 17th, 1983 for a total of 6 seasons which I hope will be released very shortly.

The cast were:
*Officer Jon Baker(1977-1982).........Larry Wilcox

"CHips was one of the coolest shows on tv from the 70's = it featured, the in vogue chemistry of the time, two good-looking guys=one blond, one brunette, (for reference-look to dukes of hazzard & starskey & hutch) who worked together as cops on motorcycles catching the bad guys and featured another kool thing in 70's tv shows= awesome car chases!! the stories were good and was fun too watch (can't say that about the tv that's on today=where we are saturated with no-shame "reality" tv with no story or originality to back it up to be considered a quality visual artform). With having charlies angels, dukes, wonder woman, the hulk and Starskey & Hutch on dvd==Chips is the final great 70's tv show to make it to DVD!!!"

"This collection was very well done! The original pilot episode includes the extended opening sequence/music. There are six DVDs in the collection with 3 or 4 episodes per single sided DVD. Each disc contains high quality artwork. Outstanding buy for a great program!
Highly recommend this and hope they do as good a job on the following seasons and don't take a long time between seasons to release them for sale."
One of my all time favorites!

"I am really really hoping that this series comes out on dvd because I enjoyed watching this show because of all the stunts and older cars. The stunts which in my mind,do rival the stunts in Dukes of Hazzard, my other all time favorite. I cannot stress enough that they need to put this series out on dvd! If they can put 4 seasons of the dukes of hazzard out then they should definetly sell this series! After all it was already said that CHiPs was a very popular show!"
Why can't TV shows STILL be this great!

"Wow, so I finally hear Chips was coming out on DVD and I thought to myself it's about time! I bought my season one and got it in the mail and let's just say VERY HAPPY!
1. The Box set.. 4 slim slipcases each include 2 disks. The holders are very well made, they keep the discs in place and nice and secure, but at the same time they are very easy to pop out, unlike some other DVD sets I have purchased in the past. I would have liked to maybe have had more liner notes about the series included, which their are very little included. All and all though I'm very pleased with the box set itself.
2. Whats on the discs? Well all time classic TV thats what. :) I sat down and watched the first episode that started it all. Whats amazing to me is that after all these years since I last seen Chips on TV when I was much younger (I'm 35 now) many of the scenes in the first episode came back to me just like BAM! The scene in which Ponches bike gets stuck in the glue lol I remember that like it was yesterday! So fun to watch and I must say, they just don't make TV this good anymore in the 2007 times. Yes there are some good shows here and there, but you always have to worry about some foul language, or some offencive scene involved. Here with Chips you have just good clean fun comedy, with a positive messege for kids today and adults as well. If you want to watch some classic TV that you will enjoy years later, as well as TV that you can have your kids enjoy for years to come. Get CHIPS! I can't wait for the other seasons.
