Member Movie Reviews Sharon F. (Shar) from AVON PARK, FL Reviewed on 8/11/2022... One of the best, if not the best, performances by Susan Sarandon. She plays Detective Hazel, who is addicted to pain killers and booze and lives a quiet life with her mother (Ellen Burstyn) in a small town. While checking in on an elderly neighbor, she finds her dead in a most gruesome manner. So begins the investigation which leads to more death suspicious deaths. The plot thickens when a local priest suspects an ancient ritual. Intriguing, suspenseful and the characters really pull you into the plot. 3 of 3 member(s) found this review helpful.
