Movie Reviews

A great introduction to a serious thinker

"
I bought this DVD because I've heard a lot about Noam Chomsky but have not read his books. The film is a overview of a lot of American foreign policy in the twentieth century and as such is required viewing. There were many things in this film I did not know, but having now watched it, I've since gone out and read more about these issues. Chomsky talks about the suppression of the newspapers and public opinion during the First World War and even talks about the globalization movement and what it means now and in the coming years and somehow has managed to link the two. The film is a great mix of interviews and lectures of Chomsky. Overall, a great introduction film to Chomsky's work and one that has given me more curiosity to go out and read some of his books. Highly recommended."
