Pros: There is some great footage of big whales, including a right whale coming up to a researcher's boat and bumping it in a curious way. There's even a brief section on the mysterious beaked or bottlenose whale. Some lovely footage of dolphins interacting with people in Florida, Australia, and one other area whose name I didn't quite get. A respectable amount of facts/footage to filler.
There are NO killer whales. Ignore the cover image. Cons: "We" are of course responsible for everything bad that ever happened to whales, even if (in the NZ dieoff cases and the mysterious mass strandings) they admit that they can't find a shred of evidence that points to manmade toxins. It's a little wearying to be constantly told you're at fault when you recycle everything you can get your hands on. There is also a tolerable amount of irrelevant footage, such as the researcher's children being cute and the researcher playing his instrument.
