Member Movie Reviews Michel D. (michelann) from WALNUT GROVE, MO Reviewed on 9/12/2013... Opening credits show this movie’s original title of Ramblin’ Man. Like many “made for TV” movies this one from 1979 was renamed. Two roving cowboys, neither of whom may have ever even ridden a horse, travel about looking for adventure and just having fun. Jerry Reed is playing almost the same character as he did in the Smokey and the Bandit films and Tom Selleck (who’s voice seems a bit high) is the macho man he usually portrays (except for when he's wearing a "frock"). They find a great friend who allows them to stay at his fancy apartment and drive his Corvette! What a guy! What they find out is that friend is involved in some shady business in the guise of being a private detective. The laughs are plenty, the writing is what makes this a B movie but there is also plenty of charm from the two leads to carry this little film. Watch for a fight scene in the beginning involving Red West (Elvis buddy and sparring partner in many Elvis movies). Morgan Fairchild has a major role but little “face” time in Concrete Cowboys. Watch for some familiar faces if you’re into country music: Roy Acuff, Ray Stevens, and Barbara Mandrell who play themselves. Overall this movie is fun and entertaining. There was a short lived TV series in 1981.

I can't believe all the bad reviews it's getting. I totally disagree. I love Tom Sellek in this film. To me this film was total gem all the way to the end."
