Movie Reviews

AMAZING

"Cookers is an incredible look at the dark side of Meth use. Brad Hunt's performance won "Best Actor" at Screamfest & Calgery Intl. Horror film Fest. Hunt is the actor hollywood has managed to keep secret.

This film never got the theatrical release it deserves. It's a must see!"
Interesting, but flawed

(3 out of 5 stars)

"3 people(2 men and a woman) head to a remote, rundown 2 story hose in the woods to cook some meth, then plan on selling it, making the fabled 'Big Score' and heading to the Tropics.

Problems soon arise, however, when it seems the house is not what it seems.

As the days go by, and the meth use continues unabated, the question becomes-is anything REALLY occuring of a supernatural nature, or is it all a result of their growing paranoia?

The film is low budget(3 people and a house), but makes the most out of it with a nice sense of growing claustraphobia.

The performances are spot on as well.

However, the movie drags after a while, and Brad Hunt, as the lead, is so obnoxious, it's tough to take him for extended periods at a time.

The horror elements are really low key, but work well enough, esp. towards the end.

If you dont expect more than a grim study of 3 people with serious drugs habbits, you wont be let down, as this acts far more as a drama than outright horror."
