You can watch this again and get the same intense feeling of the movie. Javier Bardem plays his character very well as does Josh Brolin, Tommy Lee Jones, Woody Harrelson and others. A must watch but not for the weak at heart since this is very gritty at times.

No doubt about it--it's one heck of a compelling, gripping drama about a drug deal gone bad; a good old boy who stumbles across $2 million and is not inclined to give it back; a psychotic killer (Javier Bardem) as scary as Hannibal Lecter; and a sheriff (played by Tommy Lee Jones, who did a stellar job and yet isn't even mentioned as a cast member) who's trying to sort out who did what to whom in a venue that's way beyond what most backwater local lawmen have had any experience in dealing with.
The 2-1/2 star rating was an average between the film right up to the last three minutes (5 stars) and the "...and then he woke up and realized it was all a dream" ending (zero stars). Like the ending of The Sopranos, it leaves the viewer totally unsatisfied at the number of loose end left untied (Well! What happened to ___? Did ___ get ___ after all or was that ___'s body by the truck?) and, well, ANGRY and FRUSTRATED at this example of "cinematicis interruptis".

Fantastic story. Wonderful acting. Abrupt and annoying ending.

I really liked this movie. When I saw "Javier Bardem's" character kill the 1st time with that air pressure thing he used to kill with then I had to skip back and put it in slow mo as I was in shock and had to see what the heck happened. I have never seen anything like that before. Death, Mayhem and violence all though out the movie. Javier Bardem makes a perfectly heartless hitman! He played his role to the hilt and A+ on that acting!

I thought the movie was alright. Not what some guys spoke of as great in my opinion. The ending was a little bizarre and awkward. It had some decent action scenes, but other than that, I would not recommend it.

It was really not my cup of tea. The movie was really violent and the non-ending was strange. There was no finesse to the movie. I did not get all the attention that this movie garnered.

Entirely enthralling. The entire film is engaging, even to the open ending. Having heard too much of this prior to its release, I was expecting something much less

The Coen Brothers, Tommy Lee Jones, Javier Bardem.
What more can one say?
Throw these people together and you get one damn good, (I'm sorry, not good), but GREAT FILM!!
If the Academy Awards had honor like they had in the past and gave awards for wonderful story telling, instead of how much money one can make, as they do today.
THIS FILM WOULD CLEARLY WIN!!
If you've never seen this film RUSH to order it.
NOTE the R rating on this film!
