This is an intense cardio workout DVD. It contains 2 25 minute interval workouts led by trainer Jade Alexis with Brooklyn Decker following along. Each workout consists of intervals of 2 high impact moves that are done in sets of 5 reps, 10 reps, and finally 15 reps. After each set of moves, you will do 30 seconds of jump roping(sans rope) before moving on to the next set. I will say that this is definitely not a workout for the low-impact cardio lover. This is definitely a hiit-style workout. The moves are easy to follow, but there isn't much variety. This workout will definitely burn some calories and get your HR up and test your agility. The trainer is definitely not Denise Austin (don't expect smiling or chipper phrases like "let's burn that butter!") and she sounds like a drill sergeant most of the time, but if you like high impact, right-to-the-point cardio sessions, this is a DVD for you. My only concern is that each session ends once the final interval set is finished, no cool down or stretch, so be prepared to do that on your own. I don't think high intensity workouts like this should not be followed by a few minutes of lower intensity movement and stretching.
