The sound and video quality is not great so it takes away from the concerts. Lynyrd performed better live than 38. A must for fans of both bands!

"The bands are great, the music is fine, but Skynyrd's Ricky Medlocke can't be heard. He blisters his guitar, but you can't hear a bit of it. To me, this major screw-up totally ruined this concert footage. All I can say is I'm glad I got it for a gift and didn't spend any money on it. You shouldn't, either.
(And I'm a Skynyrd fan from the beginning.)"
Double Bill.....same footage

"An excellent visual of both 38 Special and Lynrd Skynrd still doing what they do best. Very enjoyable performances of both bands performing their greatest hits live. Of course the band line ups have changed a little, but the songs live on with great music and vocals. 38 Special fans need be warned though, the concert footage on this DVD is the same footage from the "Live at Sturgis" DVD. So if you own the 'Sturgis' DVD the only new footage you'll be getting is Skynrd. If not you'll love this."

"...BR>Both groups do a creditable job. The video quality is very good for a concert, whereas the audio is fine in AC-3 for 38 Special. But the audio for Skynrd has no center channel mix in AC-3. Nonetheless, A great buy for those of us who got to see the band in the late 70's live. Believe me they can still mix it up rather well."
Where's the rest of 38. Special? They still rock though!

"This dvd of Lynyrd Skynyrd & 38 Special is a must have, though it's understandable that Skynyrd has a new lineup,Whatever happened to the rest of the original members of 38 Special? I miss that great guitar sound of Jeff Carlisi & I've noticed that there are other new band members in this group as well, Whatever happened to the original 38 Special? There's only about 4 originals & I know that there was more than that back in the days!"
Love the bands, where's the lead guitars?

"The first reviewer, "A Reviewer" got it right. Certain lead guitar riffs on both "Skynyrd" and "38 Special" cuts can barely be heard. If you can play guitar, fill in the parts as you watch the DVD, that's what I did. Otherwise, just enjoy what you can hear and see. It's still worth buying."
