"I know it was a live concert in 1993, but there is no excuse for poor editing. There are too many slow-mo portions inter-mixed with the live performance and also WAY too much crappy effects added to the picture. The band sounds pretty good, though, but the photographyy and picture editing are nearly without merit at all. Those responsible for this cheesey produced effort need to have their eyes gouged out and their digits removed to save us from any more of their over-the-top production. production like this ruins bands performances and leaves and negative reminder of the whole show."
Over the top

"The DVD production is horrid! Too much slo-mo crap and black and white cuts. They don't even get the cameras on the soloists when they are playing. It's very distracting from what would otherwise be a great concert DVD to own. I wish I could just sit down and talk to the yo-yos who cut this stupid thing and give them one simple piece of advice:
"Sometime less is more!!!!!!!!""
Dissapointing..

"I love the band but unfortunately the concert is produced like a movie rather than a concert. The video is VERY fuzzy and looks like a VHS recording and the audio sounds like it is from an 80's music video. This DVD is not what I thought it would be. I collect concert DVD's and own over 35 of them and this one ranks right near the bottom. Save your money and hopefully they will put something better out down the road."

"As a huge Foreigner fan, I eagerly awaited this DVD. Then I watched it. My God, this is the worst concert DVD I've ever seen, with the following problems: there is WAY too much slow motion camera work or crappy MTV type camera work, there is no Dennis Elliott on drums, Gramm seems to be singing out of time on purpose, too many shots of women in the crowd and not enough time on the band and their playing skills (we men and women musicians like and want to learn their music too), the stage/set is downright laughable, and the list could go on forever. How Foreigner could allow this DVD to be released is beyond me.
Compared to the awesome brilliance of Fleetwood Mac's `The Dance' , Led Zeppelin's new 2 disc set' Led Zeppelin', Gary Moore's `Live at Montreux', Third Day's `Live', Buddy Rich's Jazz Legend: 1917-1987, Mary Chapin Carpenter's `Live at Wolf Trap' (go Robbie Magrudder!!), etc., this DVD is just abysmal. Fellow Foreigner fans, can you please point me to a better DVD with Dennis Elliot at the drum kit?
For the record, I'm a huge fan of the original band line up and original albums, so this was a very excruciating experience indeed. Fellow Foreigner fans be warned: STAY AWAY!!
Here's a little bit of trivia for fellow drummers: Dennis Elliott is now a world renowned woodworking artist whose art has won innumerable awards and he has had as many museum exhibitions. The man is a true artist, and I miss his splendid drumming for Foreigner incredibly.

I Have Waited So Long

"Due to the negative reviews, I have waited too long to buy this DVD. I had it in my wish list for ages. Fortunately, I recently had the opportunity to watch this DVD on a videostore and I realized that my fears were unfounded.
This DVD reviews have mentioned too many complains about the video or production quality, and although I don't disagree with some of these comments, its flaws aren't that great so as to detract from the real pleasure of owning this DVD... watching Foreigner at arguably, their peak.
The concert video and sound are very good, more so considering this is not a recent tour. This concert is based on the The Very Best ... and Beyond Tour, and I watched them in Caracas, Venezuela during this tour. It was an amazing concert. This DVD captures its spirit and showcases the great setlist Foreigner played during the tour.
I do not regret at all buying this DVD, this is Lou and Mick at their very best, great songs, great energy. For real Foreigner fans, this is a must."
