In the wonderfully entertaining Freaky Friday, teenager Anna (Lindsay Lohan) and her forty-something psychiatrist mom Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis) have sunk into a rut of frustrated bickering--until a magic spell causes them to... more » switch bodies. Suddenly Tess finds herself faced with petty teachers, vicious rivals, and a hunky boy, while Anna has to cope with her mother's neurotic patients as well as her befuddled fiance (Mark Harmon), who doesn't understand why his bride-to-be is suddenly recoiling from his embrace on the eve of their wedding. Both Lohan and Curtis turn in deft, delightful performances, with Curtis showing a surprising flair for physical comedy. The movie even manages to explore serious issues about fractured families, new parents, and adolescent sexuality with honesty and empathy--and without making the story stop dead in its tracks. It's a mother-daughter film that fathers and sons can enjoy just as much. --Bret Fetzer« less

Such a fun and entertaining movie! Both Jamie Lee and Lindsay are excellent in this "switch" movie. If you've never seen it, now is the time.

This movie is one of the best that Lindsay Lohan made, and is a fun adventure that is very fast and hectic. Lohan's Anna seems like a caricature of an indulgent, impossible teen, unless you actually have a teen of your own, that is, and have to survive every day with a tantrum that couldn't touch a 2-year-old's! If you really liked the original Freaky Friday movie with Jodie Foster, this is a very different movie, and you probably won't like this one, but if you are looking for a way to spend a couple of light-hearted hours laughing, this movie is great, and Jamie Lee Curtis is really great in this, although Mark Harmon is very stiff and plays a mannequin.

This was a good lighthearted commedy that I really enjoyed watching. It is not one that I would call a keeper but it's worth the watch

Love, love, love this movie. I started watching it feeling mildly irritated that there are so many remakes and the movie industry is lazy, not coming up with something new. However, this movie absolutely causes one to laugh hysterically. The way they take on each others' expressions, posture, etc. is absolutely amazing. Highly recommended!

Cute updated version of the Disney classic. Jamie Lee Curtis makes this movie wonderful and Lindsay Lohan in her pre-bad-girl phase is a gem too.
