This is Bill Cosby before he became famous -- you have to admire his character's spirit in
trying to better his family's circumstances. Interesting to see the period furnishings and cars of this era. Someday this will be a much-sought-after DVD.

This not only starred Bill Cosby, but was produced, scored and written by him as well, that alone is reason enough to want to see it. I thought the title was referring to a military man but you will see the reason for the title at the end. Give the movie credit for it era and for the lack of advances in the film industry of that time. Dont expect big explosions, or cgi, just listen to the heart of the story.
