According to this series, interns spend a good deal of time searching for people to have intercourse with and interesting places in which to conduct this activity. Less licking and grappling between the genders and more attention to the medical side of internship would have been appropriate. For someone who is supposed to be "brilliant," Meredith Grey certainly makes some dumb personal decisions. Having a parent with Alzheimer's would be upsetting and difficult to deal with, but Meredith has taken on the role of low grade martyr by making such a secrecy issue of it. As for her continuing affair with boss Dr. Derek Shepherd, it seems unlikely that after sweating through college and medical school, brilliant Meredith would thoughtlessly risk her upcoming career in such a manner. 1 of 3 member(s) found this review helpful. I got hooked in the first five minutes and I've been watching ever since. Now that ER is sort of past its prime Grey's Anatomy can easy claim the title as the best medical drama on television. What really differs the show from any other medical show I've seen is the character development. The character development helped keep me interested and I felt I got to know Meredith and the other interns. I also got a feel for the hardships being an intern is and how much work goes into becoming a doctor. You also get a feeling of connection with the interns because of how much we find out about them. Dr. Shepherd, Dr. Bailey, and Dr. Burke help them along the way and offer some good advice. It's very informative and I've learned a few things watching it. Overall I think Grey's Anatomy is one of the best and most addictive shows on TV right now. This DVD is a great way to see it from the beginning and it's priced right and I highly recommend it. I would have been very confused, I think, had I not seen the original Episode 2 The First Cut is the Deepest, and not understood how Meredith ended up at the nursery watching the babies and how she ended up carrying the severed "appendage" around all day and night. George's part was almost entirely cut out. They should have left the episodes intact."
