the two movies on this BD are not worth buying on blu ray. Here's the reason why. REVENGE OF FRANKENSTEIN is nothing more than a direct transfer of the old DVD print. Picture is not sharp and color is faded. But of course, we are talking about Mill Creek Entertainment here, and not a major studio release. A major studio would have done remastering from the ground up and also some restoration. CURSE OF THE MUMMY'S TOMB is not even as good as the old DVD release. For some reason, a lot of contrast has been added to the picture, causing it to be a bit darker than the DVD version. So, a movie being released on blu-ray is NOT always a bump up in quality because, in this case, it's a few steps down.
BTW if you want an accurate review of the quality of blu ray movies, check out bluray.com. Their reviews are usually spot-on and can be trusted. I use them often when I am in doubt about whether or not to buy certain discs, I check it out on this website first.
