Movie Reviews

Great for brass instrument aficionados of all ages
Debra K. Richeson | Smithfield, KY | 01/01/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This was purchased for my 12yo grandson who plays trombone in a middle school band whose goal is to join the high school marching band. It turned out to be one of his favorite Christmas gifts this year! The Grenadier Guards are featured playing wonderfully inspiring Sousa pieces while both marching & seated in and around the gorgeous Blenheim Palace. Many close-ups of each musician playing their respective instrument. To watch them march with military precision while playing and being able to see their unique uniforms up close was delightful. Audio and visual quality excellent. The camera pans in, pans out, footage from eye level, ground level up, birds-eye level down (great while watching them march in the huge courtyard). The archived footage of John Philip Sousa was proverbial icing on the cake. Highly recommended for the budding brass marching band enthusiast or anyone who appreciates and enjoys the "sounds of Sousa"."
