"I loved it! "Diamond Girl" represents what Harlequin is all about.
I don't know how different this is from the original Diana Palmer's story since I haven't read it yet, but this movie was amazing on its own. Regan and Denny Montana are perfect in their roles. Not to appear superficial but the main heroes are very good-looking (which is a really added bonus). I also like the fact that they are handsome in their own way, differentiating them, matching their roles. Claire wasn't what I expected but she played off both men pretty well and loved her deadpan humor. The acting was superb and the dialogue was funny, perfectly timed and witty. Regan and Claire had nice chemistry but Claire lacked a little bit in her body language and emotions in some of their scenes together. The minor characters were done really well. I even wished there were more scenes with her brother and her friend. There were a lot of parts in the movie that made me laugh out load, giggle or shake my head in disbelief. The ending was really sweet. This movie never lagged and every scene was an interesting one.
There are a few kissing scenes and one sex scene near the end of the movie but nothing R rated. It is in full screen and I noticed at two parts of the movie that were kind of blurry but nothing significant. There are no extras on the DVD.
All in all, for this price, this movie is definitely worth the entertainment value. Definitely a keeper for my shelf.

"The story line begins with boyishly charming Denny Montana, who is a playboy lawyer who relies entirely on his paralegal, Claire. Claire infatuated with Denny does everything for him. Denny with the help of Margo, a real estate broker and Denny's current lover, is setting up a deal to sell the Montana family Wine Estate. So Denny's big brother, Regan Montana, returns from England to ensure a fair sale of the estate. Regan and Claire immediately don't like each other when he takes over her office and is excedingly rude and condescending. Regan soon realizes that Claire is the brains behind everything and is essentially running the office. Regan then makes a deal with Claire if she can distract Denny from Margo, Regan will help Claire get Denny. To do this Claire and Regan pretend to have a relationship and he gives her a makeover. Is this pretend relationship really pretend on both sides? And what happens when Claire gets Denny, but then realises he isn't the one she really loves....
I thought the actor that played Denny was cute in a boyish way and I liked the fact that the two brothers were perfect foils for each other. One boyish, cute, and cuddly and the other tough, strong-willed, determined, and handsome in an uncoventional way. I liked Claire's voice, but like the other reviewer I thought she was a little weak in the love scenes. I absolutely adored the actor's voice that played Regan Montana, it was deep, cold with almost a British twist to an American accent. The way he speaks and pauses is very British, which someone living in England for 10 years could conceivably adopt. I thought he was pretty hot in an unconventional manner. I would recommend getting this DVD especially if you like books by Diana Palmer."
A delightful, romantic, and charming flick
