One of my favorite movies of all time. There are as many pearls of wisdom as there are quirky scenes of hilarity. While it is worth watching many times to appreciate both the wisdom and humor, I am envious of those who get to see it for the very first time. I showed this to a good friend of mine and I sat back and enjoyed watching his many reactions, from "What did I just see", to "Oh, my!" as he threw back his hands when Ruth Gordon delivered an especially pithy and thoughtful comment. Do NOT discount this film until you've taken the time to really watch it - a couple times. 2 of 2 member(s) found this review helpful.
