My four year old LOVES Harry Potter. It's magical and just scary enough, but not too much. Adults and kids can watch together to escape to a different world. Great movie.

Most people consider this the best HP movie, and I would argue, simply because Christopher Columbus (director) didn't read the books! There is silly things missing that makes the movie, and changes that don't add anything to it...Examples: Having Hagrid pull out sausages and roast them by the fire to be eaten in the remote shack in the middle of the water, was an important piece...why leave it out? Same with other pieces that just don't make sense changing...how Hagrid leaves to deliver the message to Dumbledore, is just silly to change...Much poetic license was done in this movie, yes it is the most light hearted of the series, it is pretty to look at, and very well done by the actors (don't get me wrong) and yes, I do like it, I just find some of the changes/leave outs silly.
Yes, you do need to see this movie, because it is an epic piece that is something more than a teen movie to many, many people. The acting alone in these movies, with the cast is worth watching, even if you aren't a magic fan.
