Movie Reviews

This Series Gets Better and Better
Bryan S. Coffman | Orlando, FL United States | 04/09/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I've been following the Manga up through volume 9 now. I only recently started on the Anime series. I expected that the Anime would be a shadow of the Manga, but the opposite seems to be true. The DVD episodes are very rich with characterization and plot. I'm continually amazed that so much emotion, tension and interest can be generated over a plot which is basically a bunch of kids playing a board game. The decisions that all of the characters face are not easy and their response are genuinely human, not contrived or simplistic."
