This chaotic, disorganized paen to ''blunts and booty'' is a lot of fun provided you don't take it too, umm, seriously. I enjoyed it tremendously. Without preaching, it passes on the same loosy-goosy message as those old hippie flicks ambivalently exalting the liberating potential of pot like 'Up in Smoke,' 'Fast Times At Ridgmont High,' and 'Smiley Face,' but in a different hip-hoppified language. When Silas (Method Man) and Jamal (Redman), two pot-smoking buddies, miraculously test their way into Harvard, the crass old-fuddy-duddies who run the university are powereless against the regenerative power of the bwoys' stash, This stash of super-potent reefer, has been grown and nurtured by their mad-scientist reefer geek friend, Ivory (Chuck Davis). Although Ivory just happens to have died by accident, this does not stop him furthering the careers of his old friends Silas and Jamal as a ghost. Naturally, after only three weeks Harvard turns into the hardest partying school on the planet.

I won't give away the running, cleverly connected set of gags that give the film so much energy. Suffice to say, the ghost of Ivory shows up with his stoner amigo in the great hereafter, Benjamin Franklin, having invented the bong. Amid all the hit-and-miss gags about dope and sex, there's some really unique racial humor. Atypically, Spalding Gray enjoy himself tremendously as white professor of black studies who is so riddled with liberal guilt that he pleads for his students to , ''Lynch me! Please lynch me!'' The dastardly villain is an ultra-prudish, tightly wound black professor. Dean Cain (Obba Babatundé), who is simply no match for the ghetto moxy of Silas and Jamal. His petit-bourgeouis brick house comes tumbling down when he unsuspectingly chows down on some of Ivory's marijuana brownies. Stoned out of his gourd, Dean Cain lets his inner James Brown take over, as he becomes a trash-talking, humpty-dancing party animal in an absolutely hilarious scene. lf populist flirtation with comic bad taste is your thing, you are home and dry here.

Who knew these two guys could make a great pair! They are hilarious. Obba Babatunde has a great role. A movie about two potheads going to Harvard sounds like a bust, however try it for yourself. If you don't fall over laughing would be an understatement.

"I saw in the movies with my best friend and we thought we were gonna die laughing. This movie is hella funny, Red and Meth are awesome. all of those people who say this movie is bad are probably old geezers who are mad that they are not young enough to have like us teenagers and what not.
The plot of two stoners getting into harvard is quite ingenious in this sensitive comedy. Watch this movie with the parents due to the low ratio of swear words, and there is barely any smoking or drug abuse-THATS UNHEARD OF IN THIS MOVIE!!! Hey you might even learn something because they are going to Harvard and learning too!
Highly recommend to buy this movie about two low class but well brought up boys finally achieving their goal of going to an ivy league school, you might cry you will feel such joy for these two excellent role models."

"The snobs and other uptight people will hate this one....but if you have a sense of humor, you will be rolling on the floor. Very funny and talented supporting cast for Method Man and Redman. Forget about the plot (think Marx Bros.)and just enjoy some of the year's hippest and funniest gags."

"Dude, this movie was so frickin hilarious I thought I would die at times. Me and my buds got a random sense of humor, and this was just it. If you havnt seen this yet, and you can relate to the characters....for whatever reason, SEE IT!
