This is one of my favorite movie's ever. This is THE version of Sheila Burnham's book 'The Incredible Journey', animals don't have to talk to be entertaining. This is a film with REAL animals, real animal training, and no farting jokes to be found. Adventure, touching moments and again, real animals. The siamese cat Tao is the hero! He saves the old Bull Terrier from the bear, Gets washed downstream, Fights with a Cougar and unlatches the dogs from a confined pen, and catches and brings them food. Bravo that this film is still available! This is a wonderful, clean story about animals who walk together for weeks in the fall and get home to see their beloved people.
This film is a 10 rating!

This is the movie that as a kid helped inspire me to get an AKC Bull Terrier. As several of the movie reviewers have said it brings back great memories watching the old Disney movies and Walt did know how to make movies back then. No computer generated voice overs, trons/animaltronics, just real animals doing the acting! Many moons after watching this movie with Bodger the bull terrier I did get my very own bull terrier, and after 27 years of shwowing them, loving them, having companionship, and laughter with them I did reach the pinnacle in the breed by winning the National Specialty in 2001. A great movie as all the Disney movies made when Walt Disney himself was alive are timeless and the best!
