Movie Reviews

Warms the hearts of children ages 1 to 7!
Corrado Militi | Palmdale, CA United States | 12/02/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I have a daughter age seven, a son age 4, and twin girls age 2! Needless to say, keeping four very young children busy can be a daunting task. Especially since their interests can vary so much. TV can be a very functional babysitter, but too much of it is harmful and we are very careful to limit TV time and especially TV content. Having screened Itty Bitty Heartbeats, as we do all shows before our children watch, we found the messages to be fun, positive, warm, full of love, encouraging, and uplifting. When we first put on Itty Bitty Heartbeats my children loved it immediately. It is now the twins' favorite video. They have learned the theme song by heart and sing it all the time. Whenever our twins feel upset, they always ask for this video. Even my seven year-old likes it and loves to sing along. In all honesty, my boy did not like it initially (you know boys, Batman, Superman, Power Rangers etc.)but after we saw the live show, which he liked very much, he took a liking to it and now watches too! Maybe it's because live they look as big as Superman! My educated guess, as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, is that boys younger than four will like it! It will also be good to balance the negative influence of shows like the afore-mentioned. Besides watching it with them, if times arise when we desperately need the TV as a babysitter, my wife and I can feel safe with Itty Bitty Heartbeats. We know that their little minds and hearts are being filled with positive life lessons and messages filled with love and kindness. I highly recommend it."
