Member Movie Reviews![]() Reviewed on 4/29/2023... I find Jesse Stone very entertaining. Jesse is played by Tom Selleck, who does a very good job portraying the police chief, a guy who pines for an ex that calls periodically to ask if he's drinking. It's slightly dark in that you don't know for sure if he's depressed over losing a previous job or for the ex whose calls prevent him from moving on. This is a good starter set if you've never seen any of the series of movies. You might also pick up (2006) Night Passage, which is a prequel to Stone Cold. (2006) In Death in Paradise, a small-town police chief, Jesse Stone, investigates the life of an unhappy teen after her corpse is found floating in a lake. (2005) In Stone Cold, a series of strange murders sends shivers through a quiet New England town. It's up to a hard-as-nails police chief, Jesse Stone, to find the psychopath behind the savage crimes. Previously a homicide detective in Los Angeles, the hard-drinking Stone has the credentials to track down the serial killer. The case takes an even more sinister turn when a teenage girl is raped, and Stone realizes that catching the killer will not be so easy. (2009) In Thin Ice, Jesse lands in trouble with the town council after a shootout on the streets of Boston. (2010) In No Remorse, after he is suspended by the town council, Jesse begins investigating a series of murders in Boston for a friend, leaving Rose and Suitcase to solve a string of crimes in Paradise on their own. The series are among my keepers and are highly recommended. 0 of 1 member(s) found this review helpful. ![]() Reviewed on 9/8/2022... All of these Jesse Stone movies were good except for one that missed the mark. A must watch!
