I love Kari Anderson. She speaks beautifully, her explanations are clear and her form is always perfect. This DVD is an excellent mix of Pilates exercises that range from moderate to high difficulty. Still, Kari is always encouraging and makes the exerciser feel that their diligence will be rewarded as they strive to complete each exercise.

"I love Kari's style, but she's advanced for me. I can only do about 10 min before she kicks my butt. I love her original style that every move really works balance, strength, fluidity & body awareness all at once. It really keeps your focus & never bored. She has a great past of dancing, ballet (when she does ballet moves, you can really see her great talent, fluidity, poise & control).

Kari has a very sweet, gentle, elegant personality & her cuing is the same.

Check out her original "Angles, lines & curves" for more reviews on amazon or also videofitness com

From Collagevideo:

Dynamic, full range-of-motion exercises derived from yoga, Pilates, ballet and athletic stretches. It's exceptionally fluid and graceful but it's not easy; this is a challenging workout that will build strength, flexibility, balance and body-awareness. You're in constant motion; you'll do a pose, tighten, breathe and move on to the next. The focus is on precision and control, with a special emphasis on shaping your hips and buttocks. Kari, a Joffrey-trained ballerina and the 1994 IDEA Instructor of the Year, combines very detailed cuing with a friendly, casual attitude. Note: A little more toning-oriented than the original Angles, Lines & Curves."

"How can a workout which looks this elegant be so challenging? Kari Anderson makes it possible. I bought this workout after getting results with Kari Anderson's REACH DVD. This is an awesome workout for intermediate level. Its not for beginners. I found this harder than REACH. It was rather exhausting, and around 40mins, my calves cramped. So I paused the video and stretched it out. I think it didn't have enough armwork and abwork, however, it does deliver such a good workout for the lower body that I would still give it 5 stars.

People with ballet and modern dance background might find some of the moves familiar, but in this sequence, its much more of a challenging workout than a dance class warm up / stretch. Some of the moves are from dance, and turned into a workout series. I haven't come across any workout that turns dance moves into a serious workout so well.

Beginners may want to start with the REACH workout to gain some strength before trying this one. She offers modifications for REACH but not in this Angles Lines and Curves II workout.

I wish there was a Kari Anderson fan club. I wish I lived in the US and can join her gyms! Her workouts incorporate grace and beauty even as they work, tone, and strengthen our muscles, with no compromise of flexibility. By the way, I think the workouts can help improve flexibility. I can't really tell as I'm pretty flexible as it is. If anyone knows Anderson personally, could you please please please ask her to choreograph a workout for flexibility??"
