Movie Reviews

Excellent learning resource, worth every penny !

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Excellent presentation and covers everything you want to know in an engaging and fun way. Material on the tenor can be hard to find, so i bought several and this title is THE best. Nicely organized, goes into enough detail that you know how to get started and how to move yourself along. He also does a fine job of communicating enthusiasm with the viewer, which not every music teacher can do. He teaches several strums in progressive detail but most importantly breaks things down so you can learn, not just be amazed at his skill. What really sets this one apart is that he gives you a methodology for learning, so for any other music teachers out there this video is a fine example. Highly recommended, avoid the Mel Bay "fun with the tenor banjo" stinkeroo (see my other review) but buy this now and enjoy!"
You'd better be familiar with music

"If you don't know how to read music, you might struggle some with this DVD. Also, if you are completely new to the tenor banjo you might want to find another source to get you started. Once some basic note and chord reading are acquired, this can be a helpful tool."
