Although the acting was top-notch, this was a very slow-moving movie. The scenery was beautiful!

I've read a few of Peter Rock's novels, and they always struck a deep chord within me. This film is based on one of his books so I knew what to expect, for the most part. Seeing a visual representation of those novels had the same effect; i was deeply moved and saddened. Some stories speak to you, sometimes you recognize yourself in the characters and the things they go through. That made it a bit difficult for me to watch but I did. The beauty of the Oregon wilderness, the struggles of those who feel they don't belong or are unable to, touched me. For some this might just be a slow film that is hard to relate to but I saw myself all too often. A tough but touching story, brought to life, and I am grateful for it.
