Movie Reviews

You Get Your Money's Worth With Mayall & His Band!
Craig Connell | Lockport, NY USA | 12/13/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"There is a lot of excellent material in here and John Mayall and his late '80s Bluesbreakers break up the joint at Iowa State University. For an "older" man, Mayall is simply amazing (and still is, even though he finally retired from concerts) and gives it his all again here at this concert.

Mayall's energy and his musicianship is really on display here, whether he's on keyboards, harmonica or just singing. It also doesn't hurt that he has Walter Trout as his lead guitarist! Trout is unbelievable in several solos - worth the price of the DVD alone. Mayall also had Coco Montoya in the band. He isn't featured that much when he is, he's fun to watch.

If you are a fan of good blues or rock 'n roll, this a feel-good, high-energy concert and well worth investigating."
