Member Movie Reviews Larry N. from BEALETON, VA Reviewed on 1/6/2015... This set contains 4 of the 5 mini-series installments of the Lonesome Dove saga. Oddly enough, it contains the 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th installments and not the 2nd, Comanche Moon (2008). I guess Comanche Moon came out after this set was created. 1) Dead Man's Walk (1996) - Created as a prequel to Lonesome Dove. I rate it 3 out of 5. This is the only one with an MPAA rating; PG-13. 3) Lonesome Dove (1989) - Probably the best of the saga. How can you go wrong with Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones, Danny Glover, and Diane Lane? I rate it 5 out of 5. 4) Return to Lonesome Dove (1993) - Pretty good. I rate it 4 out of 5. 5) Streets of Laredo (1995) - Probably the second best of the saga. I'd rate it a 4.5. James Garner and Sissy Spacek did excellent jobs of acting in this mini-series. 3 of 3 member(s) found this review helpful.
