Excellent movie on the topic of race-hate. I really believed this couple was the real thing.

One of the most important movies to come along recently.

The main characters are wonderfully cast and played. You have NO doubt that Richard and Mildred Loving are ordinary, workaday citizens. They just happened to live in Virginia when marriage across racial lines was illegal.

Their fight to live and raise their kids where they both grew up will seem unlikely to young people today, but for us oldsters (especially Southerners), it rings true.

The arguments against mixed-race marriage will sound familiar to anyone following current politics.
