Generally, Luc Besson films have something to offer, at least a fresh idea even if the movie isn't all that good. Unfortunately, Limitless pulls of the '100% brain capacity' gimmick much better than Lucy. That being said, Limitless has a dopey ending, while Lucy's ending is a lot cooler. Too bad we couldn't combine the two. As such, Lucy feels like a generic action film for much of its duration. If you plan to watch both, watch this one first. The action in this one is pretty mechanical and so is Johannsen.

Ugh. Not a good movie, at all.

Especially disappointing as it features Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman, both of whom have solid resumes.

A version of the film's premise has been used before--an accidental overdose of a superdrug transforms a nonentity into a superhero. But the movie goes over the top and becomes ho-hum CGI.

So glad I didn't get to see it in a theater and waste the price of admission.
