Though the recipes on this DVD aren't limited just to the holidays, since it's almost December, nothing seems quite as Christmas-y in preparing for this wonderful holiday, than by baking up batches of some of the best cookies that you can think of, courtesy of Martha. You are given 33 delicious cookie recipes that will cover the range of goodies that everyone will enjoy. As with all Martha's DVD's to date, they are taken from her former TV show segments, where you receive that one-on-one instruction from her beautiful kitchen. The colors are soft but vivid, and the sound quality is crystal clear per usual Martha standards of perfection. And as always, she gives recipe detail and attention to help you create these delicious sweets. On top of the segments, you also have the always present option of downloading the actual recipes themselves as a hardcopy. It's a lovely compilation of all the recipes that you've seen in Martha's books and magazines, all in DVD format, so how much easier can it get? Naturally, there are other cookies that she has done throughout her former TV show, but these are the tastiest and the best that our Martha has to offer. And so they are: MOLDED COOKIES Scottish Shortbread 3 Ways Molasses Cookies Peanut Butter Cookies Fall Leaf Cookies (one of my favorite; they're "3-D" cookies) SANDWICH COOKIES Pecan and Caramel Shortbread Chocolate Malt Cookies Chocolate Mint Wafers Linzer Sandwiches Carrot Cake Cookies (it's like having mini-carrot cakes) DROP COOKIES Dried Cherry Oatmeal Cookies Lemon Drop Wafers Chocolate Caramel Surprise Lemon Cassis Bonbons (these are wonderful!) Paul Bunyan Cookies Mudslides Alexis' Chocolate Chip Cookies Snickerdoodles Chocolate Crackles BAR COOKIES Fig Bars Rocky Ledge Bars Congo Bars Peanut Butter and Jelly Bars REFRIGERATOR COOKIES Checkerboards Fruit and Nut Cookies French Butter Cookies (very light and very buttery) ROLLED COOKIES Old-Fashioned Sugar Cookies (the standard for every cookie "chef") Matcha Shortbread Gingerbread People Cocconut Pinwheels Lime Sables PIPED COOKIES Langue de Chat Meringue Daisies (perfect and beautful for leftover eggwhites!)
