Had some good scenes but overall I just did not like this so it's not a keeper or one that I would watch again.

This movie is very good and I believe it to be Russell Crows best film.

This Movie is Terrible......The Movie Might be Good, but the Sound and Talking is Terrible.....You Can't understand what they're saying.....It's the only Movie in Hundreds that I've watched that I (we) stopped watching it because it was so hard to make out what the People were saying......You couldn't pay me to watch this again....Good Luck with trying to understand what they're saying.

Great film if you love sailing or naval battle type movies. It is long, but enjoyable. It gives you the feel of what it must have really been like on board a ship during the Napoleonic era.

I have never had a movie make me feel the sense of being alone and “on their own” that real men, on real ships must have felt in this period of time. I highly recommend it.

This was a long movie, but if you like Russell Crowe, quite well worth it. I feel he does an awesome job as the commander of the ship "Surprise".
It tracks the crew and commander as they try to track a "ghost ship" which fires on them and suddenly disappears. The enemy ship is finally baited and made to show itself and the fight ensues.
The fight scenes, deaths, and operations were gruesome and frenetic. There are some very slow, drawn out water and weather scenes.
