"This comes across as a very low budget, slapped together, uninspired, amateurish movie. Instead of showing the variety and beauty of the Czech Republic from the Giant Mountains to the Bohemian Forest, the many amazing castles and spectacular towns the movie shows endless and boring footage of just a few places of interest and amateurish shots of ducks, swans, and fallen leaves. Most scenes were in the vicinity of Prague, and even Prague was not shown well. Still pictures are often repeated. The music does not coordinate with the scenes shown. The symphonic poem Vltava (Moldau) depicts beautifully the flow of the river from its beginning but the movie creators obviously did not know that and showed the full river and Prague pictures at the start and then the small streams came almost at the end. Instead of showing the splendid exterior of the Hluboka castle, the movie lingers pointlessly on one of its dining halls. The cheap music recording lacks spark and enthusiasm and is an insult to Smetana and Dvorak. There is no narration and the two page booklet tells almost nothing from Czech history and remarkable sights. I wish I could return this pathetic DVD."
