Movie ReviewsLaugh Out Loud FUNNY Mrs. Wilson | BFE | 06/26/2010 (4 out of 5 stars) "I got hooked on everything Tori Spelling when I started watching Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood. I purchased this set just recently and watched five episodes back to back, all in one day. I probably would have watched the entire set if I hadn't had to stop to eat dinner.
The episodes are a spoof on Tori's real life, with some of her real-life friends being represented by actors in the episodes. Loni Anderson plays her mom, Felicity Huffman plays her manager, and there are appearances by other famous actors too (Farrah, Whoopi, etc.). Her dad only talks via speaker, like on Charlie's Angels. Mehran, presumably, is played by a less handsome but still good character. I've grown to love Mehran in Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, and I appreciate seeing him represented in Tori's spoofs representing times when she was still single. The bottom line for me is that I love watching Tori's kids on TV, and I love seeing her as a mom in "real life", so even though these episodes and enlightening and Laugh Out Loud funny at times, I prefer to see her in the current day. These episodes, however, are worth every penny. Read the other reviews, then make your purchase. You won't be disappointed! (After-thought: The series is not rated, however, my guess is that it would be rated R.)" |
