A pleasure to watch

"This was a delightful film. In short, a group of Aussie mates who lead otherwise immensely uninspired lives find a record-breaking sized gold nugget, and then go through an interesting mix of evolutions attempting to commercialize their find. Those familiar with Guy Ritchie films (Snatch, Lock Stock) will find many parallels - unscrupulous and cognitively challenged figures, theft and re-theft, and, more interestingly, the use of elongate, cylindrical plastic accessories, otherwise commonly used as an auto erotica aid, as weapons (albeit in a very small scene). The story is by no means particularly inventive, and most of the plot developments are quite transparent, but the characters make the story. Each is a relatable character, generally with kind, good natured qualities that make them endearing. You want to see them succeed, despite their subconscious's repeated attempts to frustrate their plans. The production values are high as well, and good use of photography and music make it a highly enjoyable film to watch. I'd give more stars if the story had a bit more creative punch, but I highly recommend as a rental/viewing."

"Being a big Eric Bana fan...sigh...so highly underrated, it was nice to find another nugget of his to add to my collection! Not only is he smoking hot, I've not seen many of his comedies so it was nice to see this comedic side of his...a true must for fans of Eric!!"
