Member Movie Reviews K. K. (GAMER) Reviewed on 11/10/2022...  From the Terrace - A 1960 classic that hits many taboos but brings them to full light. Paul Newman and beauty Ina Balin lite up the screen. Avoid the trailer but watch it after you see the movie since it would spoil many unexpected surprises in the movie. The plotline was great and hits many emotions showing why Paul Newman was such a great actor! A must watch!  Exodus - A classic based on true events. It could have been great if they would not have run the movie for three hours and shortened it up.  The Hustler - Collector's Edition - A Paul Newman and Jackie Gleason classic! A must watch!  What a Way To Go! - Old school filming and plotline with stars of future past if you like those kind with Dino and others! Not really a must watch BUT it will be for some. Paul Newman is barely even in this!  Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - Collector's Edition - A classic with Paul Newman and Robert Redford leading the charge!  Towering Inferno - Special Edition - This is a perfect example of wasting two of Hollywood's legends talent (Paul Newman, Steve McQueen) as well as other greats. The well liked juice at the time was in this too before life changing events. Slow burn and boring. The almost three-hour movie could have been accomplished in an hour an a half. Check out Bruce Willis' Diehard and the Rock's Skyscraper if you want some true action combine with great plotlines. Walk away from this towering flop. |
