Movie Reviews

The Roots Present
Katlego Ms Maphai | Jhb, South Africa | 04/11/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The Roots are the greatest live performing act in contemporary Hip Hop. It is such a pleasure to witness a Hip Hop beat being produced with live acoustics and sheer skill and not behind a sterilised studio. I would imagine that's why the group has such an authentic cross appeal. 'The Roots Present' succeeds in bringing out this ability to entertain through live performance in full force. This video is certainly a worthwhile addition to one's DVD collection. Enjoy."

"If you love The Roots like i do, You'll love this DVD. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because of wack performances by Mobb Deep & Young Gunz."
