A young American boy, Roy Wallace (Kevin Novotny), knows that his dad (Patrick Bergin) is Irish yet never thought he would be spending his precious summer vacation in a tiny fishing village in Ireland. He feels a long way from home but before long, unexplainable events begin to occur and murmurs of ghosts sweep through the village. Determined o solve the mystery and disprove the superstition of the villagers, Roy takes on the case. When all signs point towards the sea cave, Roy faces his fears and discovers the "Secret of the Cave." This is a very interesting film about Ireland. It is windy, cold, the structures old, the people poor, but care enough to help each other through hard times. The Irish Coast is beautiful. It was put together as a college project by Southern Adventist University and the viewer will have no doubt that all those connected have a great career ahead of them. It is not a film that pushes any one faith or doctrine other than how we can relate to each other and to God. Unlike so many films made by beginners, this film is very professional and there is no way any thing connected in its making can be faulted. The extras alone are worth the price.
