Mary Portman (Naomi Watts) is a widowed child psychologist who lives in isolation in rural Maine. The horrific car accident that killed her husband also left her 18-year-old stepson Stephen (Charlie Heaton) in a bedridden, catatonic state, leaving him completely dependent on her. When one of Portman's young patients vanishes without a trace, she becomes convinced that the boy's (Jacob Tremblay) ghost is now in the house as a dangerous ice storm starts to wreak havoc outside.

This one had me jump several times. I like movies like that and ones with a little twist at the end...and in the middle!

Synopsis: Terror hits home in this harrowing psychological thriller that will chill you to the bone! recently widowed child psychologist Mary Portman (Naomi Watts) lives an isolated existence caring for her bedridden stepson (Charles Heaton) in rural New England. But when a young boy she is treating goes missing in a snowstorm and is presumed dead, she becomes convinced that his ghost is haunting her...and soon Mary's grip on reality turns as slippery as her icy surroundings.

The movie really dragged for the first 45 minutes or so and Naomi Watts acting was pretty poor but it took off thereafter. I used alot of the 120X FF speed watching due to the dragging plotline. A must for the horror fans though!
