The original is considered by most to be one of the most twisted 70s horror films made. A rape/revenge film that goes beyond all expectations and remains quite powerful today. The basic concept of a young woman being raped by four men is a total nightmare beyond comprehension. The degragation & horror of this is captured in such a way that the viewer is left feeling disturbed. Her revenge is justified. The remake's largest change occurs with how she gets her revenge. In the original Jennifer uses sexual seduction to lure these scumbags to their deserved fates. The new film makes her far more cunning. She exacts her revenge in ways suitable to the crimes. This is not a film for everyone and it is highly suggested that only mature viewes with the ability to fully understand the disgusting nature of rape watch this movie.
