The Street Fighter's Last Revenge was technically the last film in the series...and the weakest. Sonny Chiba stars once again as Terry Tsurugi, a brutal martial arts master who will do anything for money...as long as you don't try to screw him over. This time around, he's approached to be in on a drug cartel and doesn't want in. The mobsters make a big mistake and decide to screw him over...and the killing begins! The charm of the first film was the over-the-top violence and silly special effects. The sequel had a lot of the same stuff...to a lesser degree. This one feels more like a combination of James Bond meets Shaft...and not in a good way. The dubbing for Sonny is by a different actor, which also dilutes this from the first film. The violence isn't very strong...the best fight being between Sonny and a Mexican assassin with some kind of electro-magnetic belt and a sombrero. Other than that, it's just Sonny acting like a spy and romancing the drug cartel's female boss. The edited version of the original is more watchable. But, if you must see every Sonny Chiba film, this one ISN'T the worst...
