$17.99 down the toilet

"clocking at about 30 mins (maybe less) this is just some old footage from the fragments of their rehearsals/recordings/travels spliced together and some really boring BG music. Real snoozer....it would be if not for the annoyance of having spent $17.99 on this.
I can see how SB could have gone down the memory lane watching this, but making a commercial DVD out of this... I'd say the material might have had some potential to (and I first thought that this is where it was going ) maybe depict the process of the recording of their albums or what not, maybe talk about the musicians, their live in europe...
I 've been listening to Tuxedomoon since mid-80's and I lived in Russia then of all places, so it's not that I "don't get it", but this one I really wish I passed up on.
If my review is somewhat confusing, just think that it is as impressionistic as the film I am reviewing."

"That was the year Tuxedomoon had their 10 Years anniversary tour and this program was shown before the concert. This is why it consists of many, mostly short, recordings taped throughout those first ten years.
I'm not 'completely' sure, well, it was 20 years ago, but some sequences I remember clearly. It was a pleasant surprise, when almost immediately memories of that great concert came back to my mind again.
Who is expecting a concert recording or some sort of music video, probably will be disappointed.
Whoever is aware that what is shown here are places that were important to Tuxedomoon (e.g. SF), snapshots in studios, silliness on the road, will watch this rather short DVD (32 mins.) several times.
If you even have seen this back then, you will deeply enjoy it the first time for (good) nostalgia alone."
