"PARAMOUNT's TV SETS: BEYOND THE ORDINARY is a single flip-disc that draws upon their own and the CBS-TV archives to present debut episodes of four series.
STAR TREK (1966): "The Man Trap" - The Enterprise visits planet M-113 on a resupply mission to Dr. Crater (Alfred Ryder) and his wife Nancy (Jeanne Bal), an old flame of Bones McCoy (DeForest Kelley). Soon after their arrival, crew members start dying, drained of all bodily salt. (Cast: Bill Shatner, Leonard McCoy, George Takei, Nichelle Nichols, Grace Lee Whitney, James Doohan.)
MEDIUM (2005): Pilot - From the creator of "Moonlighting." Patricia Arquette is a communicator with the beyond who works with law enorcement to solve crimes. Also stars Miguel Sandoval and Arliss Howard.
THE 4400 (2004): Pilot - One mysterious night, a strange glow appears over Mt. Ranier. When it dissipates, 4400 previously missing people suddenly materialize, some who've been gone for 60 years! Homeland Security agents keep tabs on them and discover that some of these folks now have supernatural powers.
JOAN OF ARCADIA (2003): Pilot - The middle child oft he new police chief of little Arcadia (Joe Mantegna) and his wife (Mary Steenburgen) is a daughter (Amber Tamblyn) who believes she can speak directly with God. The girl is instructed to help specific folks and carries these orders out, wondering all the while if she's losing her mind."
