Member Movie Reviews Chad B. (abrnt1) from CABERY, IL Reviewed on 2/20/2012... In order to fully appreciate this film it helps if you're familiar with Monty Pythoon's Flying Circus. This is one of the first independent (non-Python) movies made by Terry Gilliam (Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas,The Fisher King,12 Monkeys) and is more of a light fantasty type film. The basic premise deals with a group of dwarves who work for God and have stolen the map to creation. The dwarves enlist the help of a young boy and embark on a series of adventures through time. The dwarves are thieves who are looting as they go. It's impossible to take anything onscreen seriously (if you do you're missing the overall point).
