As surfing has evolved in the last 30 - 40 years so I expected surf movies to evolve as well. I see this is not true, most of the current movies stick to the same adranlin-pumping music with dudes doing aerials formula. The music is all grunge surf music which I can't stand (I hit the muting button and put my own music on). The surfing is good (these are the latest stars after all) but nothing spectacular.As I said of Loose Change, I was expecting more artistic and slow motion shots. There are none in this movie. There is actually very little creativity from the producers/directors. The camera work is just straight forward, nothing else. Speaking of Loose Change, this is basically the same movie as that on but without the sketches. I don't think there's a need to buy both (unfortunately I did), if you've seen one, you've seen them both.Now, if you want the best surf movie of the last 30 years run to get a copy of September Sessions. It is really extraordinary.
