One of the values of Digital Video Discs is that the digital aspect permits crisp, clear pictures (in this case pictures of pictures in the great Hermitage Museum - St. Petersburg, Russia. This set of DVD's looks like it was processed through gauze. Some segments are sharper than others, but none are what I would call crisp. For the same dollars you can get the more comprehensive "Hermitage Museum of St. Petersburg" also available from this site. It's a better buy for the same bucks. I wish this DVD was better." One of the the premier museums in the world and we receive what might have been passable on VHS but certainly not what we have come to expect on DVD. The technology of DVD lends itself so well to graphics arts presentation. Please utilize what is available to the max."
